The town continues to meet with one of its most peculiar characteristics, being a historical crossroads, in the twenty-first century version of multiculturalism is an example to accommodate the largest percentage of foreign population of the entire Madrid. From time to date, the Oliva Fresnedillas come forward, while also concerned with preserving what has made it unique throughout its history. And that chapter has one of its finest achievements: the survival of the Feast of the Heifer, one of the most unique traditional benchmarks and best preserved of the country.

A little history
Ash and olive trees gave shade to many people in what is now the end of the Oliva Fresnedillas and indeed there is evidence of their presence in successive historical periods: Roman, Roman, Visigoth and Arabic.
