A little history
Regarding the foundation of the town there is unanimity among historians to date in the fifteenth century, although there are Roman ruins in the form of pottery, inscriptions on funerary stelae, or it could be a Celtic village to the northwest of the term, in a place called Coto the brush. Precisely the origin of this name, Valdecepiella and the Val de tables mentioned in the Book of Montería of Alfonso XI (dated between 1330 and 1350), together with the description of the nearby mountains.
